Egg Donation Coordinator


Hours: 20-25hours per week
Salary: Commensurate with experience

GCRM-Belfast are seeking an Egg Donation Coordinator. The postholder will be expected to lead the Egg Donation Programme.  Looking after all egg donors and all egg recipients.  Some Egg Recipients will require medical co-ordination with in-house egg donors and other egg recipients will be receiving treatment within one of our partner clinics, whilst maintaining and promoting highest standards of care and communication.  The Egg Donation Co-Ordinator must work to ensure that patients’ needs are a priority during their treatment at GCRM-Belfast Ltd.

Deputy Laboratory Manager

 

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hrs per week (some weekend and evening work will be required).
Salary: £40,000- £45,000 Commensurate with experience

The post holder’s roles include clinical liaison, non-routine clinical decision making within the embryology laboratory and responsibility for matters relating to the HFEA.  These tasks are in addition to the normal working expectations of an embryologist within the GCRM-Belfast team.


When the Laboratory Director is absent: The Deputy Laboratory Manager is to provide effective day to day supervision of the embryology and andrology services (including effective rota management), the supervision and training of junior embryology staff, ensure appropriate laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures, quality management, monitoring of laboratory performance, troubleshooting and audits.  
 

The ideal candidate will also possess at least 4 years post state registration clinical experience although not essential previous experience in a senior embryology post would be desirable. Applicants should have a First Class or Upper Second Class Biological Sciences degree, a postgraduate qualification is desirable but not essential. Good communication, decision making, negotiating, and problem solving skills are essential in this role as well as the ability to work under minimal supervision and have practical knowledge of process improvement and troubleshooting.

The position is full time 37.5hrs/week and will require some weekend and out of hours work, including participation in an on-call rota.
